For this assignment, I was tasked with creating a united series of illustrations themed around the 4 seasons, utilizing my signature illustration style, and in the format of an illustrated product, such as a calendar or card series. I chose storybook covers for my series, to play into my strengths as an illustrator. I aimed to convey a sense of narrative with the project, that the illustrations were indicative of a story within. I also heavily pushed my usage of shading and texture, to give the series a unique feel from the rest of my portfolio. I also made creative use of color to keep each illustration distinct, and to better play into the seasonal theme.
